Carlos started racing in 1985 in his homeland of Brazil, there he started his two wheel legacy on mopeds and won several championships.

He moved to the United States in 1988 and it wasn't until 1995 that he would find himself on a GP 125 race bike.

Carlos has been riding two stroke motorcycles his whole life and eventually began to work on his own motors. It was that aspect of his career that led him to work with the legendary mechanic Roland Cushway. Cushway had spent two years with the Cadalora GP Team back in the early 90's and is a master fabricator and engineer.

Since working with Roland, Carlos has gone on to win numerous races and a championship in various race organizations.

1999 AFM 3rd Overall
2000 AFM 4th Overall and some select GPRA Nationals
2001 Took Year off to recover.

2004 AFM 2nd Overall
2005 AFM 2nd Overall (crash in last race, last lap, last turn to lose championship)
2006 AFM Formula III Champion 125cc
2008 AFM Formula II Champion 250cc
